Film Work

Battlegroup South have now been involved in several film projects. The most recent was a film made for Irish TV and Uk viewing shown on RTE 1 in two episodes and is due to be shown on the History Channel soon. The two part documentary was called IRELANDS NAZIS and dealt with 6 prominent Nazis who lived here for many years after the war. These included Otto Skorzeny, Pieter Menten, Albert Folens, Helmut Clissman and Andrija Artukovic and some more.

The films were shot on location in Co Waterford and Battlegroup south provided the men, weapons and vehicles for the filming. All the German roles and extras were members of the group and many of the props were provided by Battlegroup South.

These two short films were produced by Tile Films, Ireland and directed by Keith Farrell.
