In April, along with Die Gruppe and SGNord, Frontline we will travel with vehicles to do this event and put on a large battle for the public on Sunday, April 25th/26th.

DUNCANNON MULTI-PERIOD EVENT

Our own show in Duncannon again on June bank holiday weekend which this year is on May 30-31st, Saturday and Sunday, involving the battle on Sunday for the Public.

ARDFERT SUMMER FESTIVAL

Our annual trip to Kerry and take part in the Ardfert Summer festival. On Saturday there is a road run in the vehicles to Dingle and around the peninsula, Bar B Q on Saturday night at the Abbey and the public show on Sunday. Every year this is a top event and super weekend below in Kerry. One not to be missed.

IRISH VINTAGE SOCIETY INISTOIGH CO KILKENNY

After the success of last year’s show, this is a huge event and we have been asked again to come and do our display with Wargroup and put on a battle on Sunday. We drew a fair crowd last year for this event. August weekend Saturady 1st, Sunday 2nd, Monday 3rd August.

SALUTE MILITARY SHOW

One of Ireland’s finest Military shows have again booked us for the display on Saturday and Sunday and again a large battle on Sunday for the public at 2.30pm. We are delighted to be part of this event as it just gets bigger and bigger each year. We will display a large amount of vehicles and equipment at this show too. We are delighted to support Sean Curtis and his group in this venture as he has supported Duncannon each year since its first show.

That is all we are doing in public shows this year. With the amount of vehicles and artillery and men in the group, this is a very heavy commitment for the group for 2009.

FILMING

We have two films to do also in March and April, and in April we look forward to working on the second part of the German film, The LAST WITNESS, to be completed here in Ireland, with our friends from Die Gruppe, SGNord, Frontline and Germany, it’s a big cast and will have over 150 extras and vehicles involved.

OUR TRAINING WEEKEND

This is also in early March and we have some very good qualified men coming from Germany for instruction. So far we have 30 attending and welcome our friends from the other groups named above if they wish to take part. Those of you who have in the past know what a great weekend it is and the high standard involved. The pics of times past tell their own story.

OUR ANNUAL TRIP TO NORMANDY

In June, after Duncannon, this is also in the organizing stages and will be a cracker for the 65th anniversary.

OTHER CLUB EVENTS

There will be 4-5 other club events between the period after Normandy and end of August where we will have a 4 day tour in the vehicles up the west coast of Ireland and Connemara, some vehicle and camping weekends, and some in-house training weekends in Waterford where we can get some good videos and photos and club get together on our own for all to enjoy. All these dates and details will come in the club newsletter in the next few weeks.
